Muay Thai Training Techniques

Muay Thai is a Thai mixed martial art form. It has many fighting techniques. When using techniques Muay Thai, also known as Thai "Muay May Mae" fighters use the entire body including fists, elbows, shins, feet and knees.

The basic Muay Thai training techniques include punch techniques (jab, straight right / cross, hook and uppercut), elbow techniques (horizontal, diagonal, up, down correct diagonal, uppercut, downward, backward-spinningand flying) and kicking techniques (push kick, roundhouse kick, etc.). The Clinch

This technique is only used in fighting Muay Thai. While the fighter is fighting this technique by his opponent either around the neck and head or around the body. It is known as the Thai clinch.

To apply the clinch, the fighter has his opponent either to hold the neck and head or around theBody. The fighter has also press his forearm against his opponents collar bone while his hands are around his head instead of his neck.

A common technique used Clinch fighting in Muay Thai is, just tap on the head down, then throw type. The fighter can also throw the opponent in his case, the latter is one from the right knee. It can cause the opponent to lose his balance.

The Kru

This is a difficult technique. A new fighter takes amuch training and hard work to learn this technique. The technology is provided by the Thai fighter Krue or boxing training. The trainer makes the fighter to work hard and learn the technique. It is a tradition for the fighters to his respect for his trainer through a ritual called Wai Kru express.

There are some elements, the techniques are part of the Muay Thai training. These include: -

o Running - A trainee has to run 18 km running per day (about 12 km infirst half and about 6 km in the second half).

o Stretching - The student has to do, stretching for about 20-30 minutes. It improves muscle elasticity and reduces the stretch reflex.

o Shadow Boxing - The training consists of approximately 20 minutes of shadow boxing. Shadow boxing is practiced usually in front of the mirror.

Muay Thai training requires a lot of hard work. To a good fighter young people must go through a lot of physical and mentalStrain. It takes dedication, commitment and "never-say-the sheer" attitude that a trainee is itself transformed into a solid Muay Thai fighters.
